High Sheriff of Rutland Fund

The High Sheriff’s primary roles are to represent the Monarch in the maintenance of law and order in society and to support and promote voluntary organisations within our county.  During my year in office, I intend to visit as many of these amazing organisations as possible.

All funds raised during my year will be placed in the High Sheriff of Rutland Fund, managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation *. At the end of my year as High Sheriff most of these donations will be distributed to local charitable and voluntary groups that help to keep our county thriving and safe. In particular, I shall focus on crime prevention initiatives and those organisations that support the needs of disadvantaged children and young people. A proportion of donations will be invested to help build the High Sheriff of Rutland Fund for future generations.

*The Community Foundation is a charity which sets up and runs charitable funds for families, individuals, companies and organisations. It enables donors to give grants to any cause, specialising in the “unsung unseen” charitable and voluntary groups which contribute so much and so extensively to our county.
